Wrapping up and sending recaps

For coaches · 4 min read

Wrap-up is a short, honest ritual: mark the lesson, review what's about to reach your student, and leave a trail for next time.

Mark how the lesson went

1
Look for the past-lesson banner

A lesson whose time has passed but isn't marked yet shows Past lesson — not marked yet right at the top of its screen.

Only appears once a lesson's scheduled time has passed and nobody's marked it.

2
Mark it completed

Click Mark completed once you've actually run the lesson — this is what closes it out and files it into history.

3
Or mark it Skipped / no-show

Use this instead when the lesson didn't happen.

4
Reschedule instead if it needs to move

Reschedule opens a small panel for a new date, time, and duration — your student sees the change in their portal right away.

Turn the draft into a recap

5
Read the AI-drafted recap

Once the call ends (or you generate it from the transcript), a draft recap appears in the AI notes panel — private to you until you use it.

6
Drop it into the Recap field and edit freely

Use as recap copies the draft into the lesson's Recap box, fully editable before anything goes out.

7
Tick which suggested focus areas to approve

The AI panel suggests focus areas but never pre-ticks any of them — tick the ones worth sharing, then click Approve. Only ticked items reach your student.

This section only appears when the draft actually surfaced focus suggestions.

8
Save notes to history to send it

Nothing reaches your student until you click this — it publishes the Recap and Homework fields straight to their portal.

9
Re-save without worrying about repeating yourself

If a confirmed parent is copied on recaps, that email goes out once per lesson only — once it's sent, editing and saving again updates the portal but never re-sends the parent email.

The exception is the useful one: if the parent hadn't confirmed their address yet when you first saved, nothing was sent — so saving that lesson's recap again after they confirm does send it.

Homework and private notes

10
Fill in the Homework field

Shows up right alongside the recap on your student's lesson page once you save.

11
Use Private notes for anything just for you

Your private note fields (set up in Make it yours) never reach your student — they feed your own history and next-lesson prep.

12
Write what to pick up next lesson

One item per line in To pick up next lesson — it becomes the To cover today checklist waiting for you at the start of this student's next lesson.

Focus items you approve in the AI panel add themselves to this list automatically too.

Where it lands for your student

13
Check the lesson's own truth panel

The close-out card shows exactly what's reached your student so far — recap, homework, approved focus areas, attached materials — updated the moment you save.

14
Know the recap lives on that lesson's page

Your student finds it under their lessons list, on the page for that specific lesson, alongside any homework and shared materials.

15
Book the next lesson from the same screen

Book the next lesson opens the booking panel with this student already picked, so wrap-up ends with what's coming next.
