Understanding your payments

For students · 3 min read

Your Payments page shows exactly what you owe, what you've paid, and why — nothing is ever charged without the policy or consent screen having said so first.

Your Payments page

1
Open Payments to see your plan and balance open →

Your rate, current plan, and any lessons remaining on a package.

2
Check your history for the why open →

Every past charge is labeled with its reason — a package purchase, a monthly charge, or a late cancellation — not just an amount.

3
Pay an open invoice by card open →

When your coach sends an invoice, a Pay now button appears here — payment goes straight to them through Stripe.

Saving a card

4
Save a card on file open →

A one-time setup — Stripe securely stores the card, not Verbalgerbil.

Only appears once your coach's payments are live.

5
Understand what pre-authorization means

Saving a card authorizes charges only for completed lessons and for late cancellations/no-shows billed under your coach's policy — never anything else, and never without that policy shown to you first.

6
Get a receipt every time

Stripe emails you a receipt the moment a charge goes through.

Packages and monthly plans

7
Renew your package in one tap open →

When your balance runs low, a Renew button shows the exact price before you confirm — nothing changes until you tap Confirm.

Appears only with a saved card and a package running low.

8
See your month before it is billed open →

On a monthly plan your month arrives as an invoice rather than a silent charge. The Next bill card on your Payments page shows what is coming and when, before it is raised.

9
Pay it like any other invoice open →

When the invoice is raised it joins your open invoices with a Pay now button — the same Stripe-hosted page as everything else, and it flips to Paid as soon as it clears.
